The Western Hockey League Manager, Finance will be responsible for managing financial, human resources and administrative functions. This includes preparing the budget; conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports; managing the payroll system and maintaining accurate and current financial records.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting and financial systems, and maintain full and accurate accounting records
• Provide detailed reports and analysis of financial statements
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
• Coordinate annual audit
• Maintain cash controls
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Manage the payroll system
• Manage WHL Office Benefits Plan
• Ensure personnel records and files are maintained
• Manage WHL Central Scholarship Registry and Player Agreements
• Other related duties as required
Position Requirements:
• Excellent leadership skills
• Effective organizational skills
• Computer skills – including a comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 Software
• Accounting Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience
