Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Spokane Chiefs’ forward Mike Aviani is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending December 15 after scoring three goals and five assists for eight points in three games along with a plus-minus rating of plus-4.

Aviani helped the Chiefs win all three games last week including two against U.S Division rivals the Everett Silvertips.  Last Wednesday night he scored the game-winner on the power play and added an assist in the 5-3 victory over the Silvertips at home, then scored the insurance marker as second star of a 2-0 road win over the Tips on Sunday.  In between, Aviani collected his second five-point game of the season scoring the game-winner and adding four assists as first star of a 6-3 win over the visiting Prince George Cougars on Saturday.
