FUTURE WHL STARS SHINE IN AMHL ALL STAR GAME
 

The Alberta 'AAA' Midget Hockey League held its 23rd Annual All Star Game Sunday afternoon at Bill Hunter Arena.  In a highly entertaining and spirited contest, before 502 fans, the Team Easton from the Dodge Division defeated Team Source for Sports from the Chrysler Division 8 – 5. Goaltender Dasan Sydora, the games first star, a member of the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs made 24 saves allowing no goals against in the 30 minutes that he played. The Dodge Division then opened up the game by tallying 6 goals in the remainder of the 2nd period. The second star, who led the Team Easton comeback, was sniper Ambrose Firkus of the Baker Hughes Lloydminster Bobcats who finished with a goal and 3 helpers. The third star also from Lloydminster was Defenseman Carson Soucy who a standout on defence for the Dodge Division team. All three stars received gifts from the Western Hockey League and the Source for Sports Dealers of Alberta. This was the Dodge Divisions 13th victory in the history of the event.
