The Everett Silvertips are proud to announce that Kent Simpson has been named the Wagner Jewelers’ Gem Of The Month for January.

Throughout each month, players amass points based upon being recognized as one of the “Three Stars Of The Night.”  Players get three (3) points for being named #1 Star Of The Game, two (2) points for being named #2 Star Of The Game and one (1) point for being named #3 Star Of The Game. 

In January, he played in 11 of the team’s 13 games earning a star five times.  Simpson was named the #1 Star Of The Game once (01/28), #2 Star Of The Game twice (01/21, 01/29), and the #3 Star Of The Game (01/01 and 01/16) twice during the month.

This was the second time this season that Kent was named the Wagner Jewelers Gem Of The Month.

Prior to tonight’s game Brian and Kim Snyder presented Kent with a commemorative watch in recognition of his performance.
