ROCKETS BLAST SILVERTIPS – Carter Rigby scored a hat trick to help the visiting Kelowna Rockets to an 8-2 victory over the Everett Silvertips in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Sunday night.

Zach Franko and Myles Bell each notched a goal and an assist while Madison Bowey, Ryan Olsen and Colton Heffley also scored for the Rockets (15-8-1-1), who earn their third win in a row and have outscored their opponents 22-5 in that span.  Jackson Whistle made 22 saves to improve to 6-0 with the Rockets this season.

Tyler Sandhu and Dawson Leedahl scored for the Silvertips (10-16-0-2), who were tied at 1-1 at the midway point of the opening period but allowed the next seven goals en route to the defeat.  Austin Lotz made 28 saves on 34 shots in 46 minutes of work, absorbing the loss, while Daniel Cotton stopped five of seven shots in relief.
