PATS TAKE ON RAIDERS – Lane Scheidl and the Regina Pats (11-18-2-2) welcome Mike Winther and the Prince Albert Raiders (21-10-0-2) for an East Division match-up in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Thursday.

The Pats are coming off back-to-back losses to the Saskatoon Blades, having lost 9-0 in Saskatoon on Saturday and 7-0 in Regina on Sunday, and have dropped seven straight games overall.  The Pats acquired forwards Filip Vasko and Marc McCoy from Red Deer and defenceman Darian Henry from Calgary on Wednesday.  Scheidl leads the Pats in scoring with 18 goals and 36 points.

The Raiders shut out the Tigers 7-0 in Medicine Hat on Saturday night, snapping a two-game losing skid, and currently hold a nine-point lead for first place in the East Division.  The Raiders are 11-5-0-0 on the road this season.  Winther shares the team lead in goals with 13 markers this season.

It’s the fourth meeting of the season between the Raiders and Pats.  The Pats won the first meeting but the Raiders have taken the last two encounters.
