REBELS TAKE ON OIL KINGS – Dominik Volek and the Red Deer Rebels (24-18-3-2) welcome T.J. Foster and the Edmonton Oil Kings (30-9-2-3) for a match-up between Central Division Clubs in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Thursday.

The Rebels ended a four-game road trip with a 4-3 overtime loss in Prince Albert on Saturday night for their third defeat over those four games, and currently sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  Red Deer is 12-8-1-1 on home ice this season.  Elson has scored in four of his last five outings.

The Oil Kings blanked the Tigers 3-0 in Medicine Hat on Sunday for their third straight victory and their 12th win in 14 games, and currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference standings.  The Oil Kings have four shutout wins and have given up just three goals over their last six games.  Foster ranks second on the Oil Kings with 21 goals this season.

It’s the fourth meeting of the season between the Rebels and Oil Kings.  Edmonton won two of the first three meetings, including the lone previous meeting in Red Deer.
