OIL KINGS SHUT DOWN HURRICANES – Laurent Brossoit stopped all 45 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season as the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings blanked the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-0 in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Thursday.

Stephane Legault scored two goals and Klarc Wilson and Mitch Moroz each added a goal and an assist for the Oil Kings (26-8-2-3), who held the ‘Canes scoreless on six power play chances as they stretch their winning streak to three games.

Ty Rimmer turned in a 30-save effort in a losing cause for the Hurricanes (19-18-1-4), who suffer their third shutout loss of the season.
