Position: Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator responsibilities will include: assist in the delivery of programs for new and existing sponsors; assist with WHL special events; create sponsor post season reports; execution of League and sponsored contest; assemble club contracts; create promotional schedules, assist with merchandise orders and the maintenance of an online store; manage marketing social media calendar; and a variety of additional marketing related assignments.
The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the World’s finest development leagues, with 22 Member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is inviting applications for the position of Marketing Coordinator at their Calgary based office. 

Candidates for the position should possess a degree in Sport Administration and/or equivalent education and be computer proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Photoshop. Experience in hockey or related sports industry is considered an asset. The candidate must also be well organized, detail oriented, able to manage several tasks at the same time and be capable of working independently and in a group environment.

Position: Hockey Operations Internship (Ed Chynoweth)

Job Description:

  • Reports to the Manager, Player Development and Recruitment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Player Development and Recruitment

  • Assist with preparation and execution of WHL Combine Camps
  • Assist in preparation of WHL U.S. Prospects Camp
  • Conduct research on recruiting statistics and other player development
  • Assist with Alumni Relations
  • Implementation of data into the Dub Hub intranet system
  • Assist with the development of a new promotional campaign in regards to materials and communication relevant to WHL player recruitment
  • Manage WHL Prospects Central Website
  • Assist with contractual obligations with hockey partners across Western Canada and the Western United States
  • Key role in the planning and management of the Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup

Warriors look to hire in Ticket Sales Department

The Moose Jaw Warriors, a community owned franchise in the Western Hockey League, have an immediate opening for the full time position in ticketing sales.

The successful candidate for this position will be an energetic, positive individual who is detailed orientated and excels at sales. The primary focus of this person will be to oversee and execute:

  • Season Ticket sales and communication
  • Group sales – communication & sales in all group areas
  • Coordination of all group experiences
  • Sales of all Flex Packages/Mini Packages
  • Data Collection/Retention
  • Tracking and targeting sales of all ticketing packages, promos, groups, etc.
  • Coordinating all marketing materials including all in game/in community displays
  • Special Game ticket promotions
  • Liaison with Box Office

Knowledge of the Warriors, Western Hockey League and City of Moose Jaw would be assets for this position. Preference will be given to those with post-secondary education in sports and/or previous experience in ticket sales. This position will report to the Director of Business Operations and comes with a competitive wage and benefits package.
