The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the world’s finest development leagues with 22 Member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is inviting applications for the position of Coordinator, Video & Creative Services at their Calgary based WHL Office.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Communications, the Coordinator, Video & Creative Services will be supporting communications, hockey operations and marketing/sales efforts through the design of creative visual content for website, in-stadium video boards, electronic communications and video production for the hockey operations and officiating departments. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team player who understands the importance of the WHL brand, can produce visually appealing final products and can initiate new, creative content ideas.
Candidates for the position should have strong creative skills and design sense. Video production experience in hockey or a related sports industry is considered an asset. In addition, candidates should possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects. Knowledge and efficiency in Adobe CS5 Design Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects and Microsoft Office software is essential. A post-secondary degree in video journalism, broadcast, advertising, creative design or other related disciplines and practical work experience is required. Candidates must be prepared to work flexible hours (including, evenings, weekends and holidays).

DIRECTOR OF GAME DAY OPERATIONS - REGINA PATS
Regina, SK -- The Queen City Sports and Entertainment Group (operating as the Regina Pats Hockey Club; the “Regina Pats”) is currently accepting resumes from enthusiastic, dedicated and highly organized individuals for the position of Director of Game Day Operations.
The successful candidate will be able step in immediately to work towards controlling all aspects of the Regina Pats game presentation and production for the remainder of the 2015-2016 season and prepare for the 2016- 17 season and beyond.
This position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for running all aspects of the Regina Pats Game Day, creating and maintaining a top quality and high energy atmosphere at Regina Pats home games while managing all paid and volunteer staff associated with game entertainment and presentation.
This opportunity will appeal to those with a solid understanding and experience in the execution of game day including presentation and production. Must have a minimum two full seasons experience in Game Day management working in a team sports environment, preferably with a junior hockey caliber team or higher. Game Day experience that lends itself to the oversight of our state-of-the-art centre-hung scoreboard with HD LED video display boards is a definite asset. Excellent knowledge of hockey is a must.

The Director, Game Day Operations is expected to attend all games as well as other events as needed. Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and holidays in order to attend all Regina Pats home games.
