RAIDERS BLOW PAST HURRICANES – Igor Revenko scored twice and set up another while Dustin Cameron set up three goals to lead the Prince Albert Raiders to a 6-1 win over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes in Western Hockey League action on Saturday.
 
Colin Reddin scored in his debut for the Raiders (15-12-1-2), who earn their third win in a row, while Jordan Rowley, Jordan Hickmott and Brandon Herrod also scored.  Garrett Zemlak turned aside 29 of 30 shots he faced in the victory.
 
Luca Sbisa notched his first goal of the season for the Hurricanes (8-15-3-1), who suffer their sixth straight setback.  Brandon Anderson and Ville Kolppanen combined for 42 saves in a losing cause.

HITMEN 5, BLADES 4
 
Brandon Kozun scored two goals and added two assists while Joel Broda notched two goals and an assist as the visiting Calgary Hitmen edged the Saskatoon Blades 5-4 on Saturday night.
 
Ian Schultz – with his ninth goal of the season – also counted for the Hitmen (20-8-1-0), who built up a 5-1 lead early in the third period and held on for their 20th win of the season.  Martin Jones turned aside 18 of 22 shots to record his 12th victory of the season.
 
Derek Hulak – with a goal and two assists – Charles Inglis, Burke Gallimore and Travis Toomey scored for the Blades (20-4-0-3), who suffer their first loss in regulation since October 23rd in Swift Current.  Steven Stanford made 25 saves in the defeat.

BRONCOS 5, WHEAT KINGS 4
 
Justin Dowling scored three goals to lead the Swift Current Broncos to a 5-4 win over the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday.
 
Cody Eakin – with a goal and an assist – and Derek Claffey also scored for the Broncos (14-12-0-2), who converted two of six power play chances in the contest.  Morgan Clark made 26 saves in the victory.
 
Aaron Lewadniuk scored twice, Jay Fehr notched a goal and two assists and Matt Calvert also counted for the Wheat Kings (17-11-0-2), who see their five-game winning streak come to an end.  Andrew Hayes made 30 saves in the defeat.

WARRIORS 3, OIL KINGS 2  O/T
 
Dylan Hood scored 3:14 into overtime to lift the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors to a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday.
 
Spencer Edwards and Quinton Howden scored 1:24 apart in the  third period for the Warriors (16-10-1-1), who erased a 2-0 deficit en route to snapping their four-game losing skid.  Brandon Glover made 27 saves to claim his sixth win of the season.
 
Michael Burns and Brent Raedeke scored for the Oil Kings (8-13-4-4), who suffer their fifth consecutive loss and their 11th loss in 12 games.  Torrie Jung made 26 saves in a losing cause.

TIGERS 4, REBELS 1
 
Rookie Emerson Etem scored his 20th goal of the season to lead the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday.
 
Matt MacKay, Kale Kessy and Bretton Cameron – with his 23rd of the season – also counted for the Tigers (16-9-2-3), who stretch their winning streak to five games.  Tyler Bunz turned aside 32 of 33 shots he faced to record the win.
 
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins – with his 15th goal of the season – had the lone marker for the Rebels (13-14-0-0), who were blanked on three power play opportunities in the contest.  Darcy Kuemper made 34 saves in the loss.

BRUINS 3, BLAZERS 1
 
Lucas Gore turned aside 15 shots to record his second shutout of the season as the Chilliwack Bruins blanked the visiting Kamloops Blazers 3-0 on Saturday night.
 
Alexander Wiklund, Jesse Craige and Chris Collins scored for the Bruins (12-13-1-4), who outshot the visiting Blazers 36-15 in the contest as they snap a two-game losing skid. 
 
Jon Groenheyde made 33 saves in the loss for the Blazers (11-14-2-2), who suffer their second loss in as many nights.

ICE 4, ROCKETS 2
 
Brayden McNabb scored twice on the power play as the visiting Kootenay Ice doubled up the Kelowna Rockets 4-2 on Saturday. 
 
Dustin Sylvester notched a goal and an assist and Max Reinhart also scored for the Ice (13-13-1-1), who pick up their second road win in as many nights while moving into sole possession of third place in the Central Division.  Todd Mathews made 22 saves in the victory.
 
Tyler Halliday and Shane McColgan scored for the Rockets (13-14-1-0), who have dropped six of their last eight games.  Adam Brown made 24 saves in the defeat.

WINTERHAWKS 5, THUNDERBIRDS 3
 
Spencer Bennett scored twice and Nino Niederreiter scored his 16th goal of the season to lead the Portland Winterhawks to a 5-3 win over the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday.
 
Brad Ross and Riley Boychuk also counted for the Winterhawks (18-12-0-0), who win their second decision in as many nights over the Thunderbirds.  Ian Curtis made 24 saves to claim his ninth victory of the season.
 
Lindsay Nielsen – with a goal and an assist – Charles Wells and Prab Rai scored for the Thunderbirds (10-16-1-3), who were outshot 17-6 in the opening period and 46-27 through the entire 60 minutes.  Calvin Pickard made 41 saves in the defeat.

GIANTS 6, COUGARS 2
 
Brendan Gallagher scored four goals to lead the visiting Vancouver Giants to a 6-2 win over the Prince George Cougars on Saturday.
 
Kevin Connauton tallied a goal and an assist and Garry Nunn scored his second of the season for the Giants (18-8-1-2), who win their third straight game and their second in as many nights over the Cougars in Prince George.  Jamie Tucker made 19 saves in the victory.
 
Brett Connolly and Marek Viedensky each tallied a goal and an assist for the Cougars (4-20-1-1), who suffer their third straight defeat.  Alex Wright made 27 saves in the defeat.

CHIEFS 4, PATS 0
 
James Reid turned aside 22 shots to record his third shutout of the season as the Spokane Chiefs blanked the visiting Regina Pats 4-0 on Saturday.
 
Tyler Johnson and Kenton Miller each tallied a goal and an assist and Steve Kuhn and Ryan Letts – with his first of the season – also scored for the Chiefs (16-8-2-0), who improve to 6-1-1 over their last eight games. 
 
Dawson Guhle made 24 saves in the loss for the Pats (15-13-3-0), who wrap up their western road trip with a 4-2 record.

SILVERTIPS 6, AMERICANS 1
 
Shane Harper and D. Jay McGrath each scored two goals to lead the visiting Everett Silvertips to a 6-1 triumph over the Tri-City Americans on Saturday.
 
Kellan Tochkin notched a goal and an assist and Byron Froese also scored for the Silvertips (16-8-1-0), who held the Ams scoreless on eight power play chances in the contest.  Kent Simpson turned in a 36-save effort to record the win.
 
Sergei Drozd scored the only goal for the Americans (19-8-0-0), who have dropped two straight games for the second time this season.  Drew Owsley and Brett Martyniuk combined for 27 saves in a losing effort.
