Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that six CHL players will compete for Team USA at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament August 9-14, 2010, in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Piestany, Slovakia. Of the five players named three currently play in the Western Hockey League, Tanner Mort of the Spokane Chiefs, Lukas Sutter of the Saskatoon Blades and Keegan Lowe of the Edmonton Oil Kings.
A total of 22 players were named to the team following participation at USA Hockey’s Boys’ Select 17 Player Development Camp held July 7-13 at the Sports Centre at MCC in Rochester, New York.

Defencemen:
Craig Duininck, Windsor Spitfires
Keegan Lowe, Edmonton Oil Kings
Tanner Mort, Spokane Chiefs
Colin Suellentrop, Oshawa Generals
Forwards:
Lukas Sutter, Saskatoon Blades
Vincent Trocheck, Saginaw Spirit
The CHL will also be represented on Team USA by Assistant Coach Jay Varady who serves as an Associate Coach with the WHL’s Everett Silvertips.
Team USA will compete in Group A with games against the Czech Republic, Finland, and Russia. Group B consists of Canada, Slovakia, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Team USA has finished in the top three of the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament nine times since the tournament’s inception in 1991, and won the gold medal at the tournament in 2003, and finished as silver medalists six times, most recently as 2006. The tournament honors the late Ivan Hlinka, a former Czechoslovakian national team player and coach.
