Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup All-Stars Announced

Blackfalds, AB -- On the final day of competition at the largely successful first ever Western Canada Under 16 Challenge Cup, the tournament All-Star team was announced.

Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup All-Star team 2009:

Goalie: #31 Devon Fordyce – Team Alberta, drafted 114th overall by the Prince George Cougars

Defense: #8 Matt Dumba – Team Alberta, drafted 4th overall by the Red Deer Rebels
Defense: #7 Reid Gow – Team Manitoba, drafted 16th overall by the Spokane Chiefs

Forward: #12 Brendan Leipsic – Team Manitoba, drafted 112th overall by the Portland Winter Hawks
Forward: #15 Branden Troock – Team Alberta, drafted 12th overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds
Forward: #12 Jared Iron – Team Saskatchewan, drafted 167th overall by the Kootenay Ice
